The subject of this symposium, which is the second of the International Central Anatolian and Mediterranean Chiefdoms History, Culture and Civilization symposiums, is the Chiefdom of the Karamanids and studies on this subject. In addition, new information, discoverments and documents obtained about the Karamanids as a result of new researches were brought together in the symposium.In the first Symposium, the Chiefdom of the Ashrafits have been discussed. In this symposium, approximately sixty-five essays of scientists working in this field from Türkiye and abroad were discussed by focusing on the Karamanids. The symposium is hosted by the University of Karamanoglu Mehmet Bey, organized by the Turkish Historical Society, University of Necmettin Erbakan and the Association of Islamic Historians.
