Climate Change Adaptation in Plant Protection

269 TL 385 TL

Global climate change is one of the most important factors directly affecting agricultural production today. As diseases, pests and plant interactions are extremely sensitive to climate dynamics in crop production, the question of how our agricultural systems will adapt to these changes is of great importance for food security and agricultural sustainability. This includes not only the control of organisms that cause losses in crop production, but also all preventive and curative measures needed to cope with the new threats and challenges of climate change. Climate adaptation to plant pests and diseases requires the development of innovative and sustainable approaches and the design of production practices based on up-to-date scientific data. This study, consisting of nine chapters, examines the impact of climate change on agriculture and the latest scientific developments on innovative and sustainable crop protection strategies developed to cope with it. We hope that this book will be a useful resource for anyone with an interest in agriculture. It should help to make future agricultural production climate-friendly and sustainable and open up new horizons in crop production against climate change.
