The aim of Global Affinities of the European Union is to analyse the multidimensional global relations of the EU, which has representative offices in important international institutions and emphasises the significance it attaches to effective multilateralism and global partnerships in its official documents. In this context, on one hand, the EU's relations with major global actors such as the USA, China and Russia are analysed, and on the other hand, the EU's relations with the Middle East and North Africa, the Western Balkans, Africa, Central Asia, Latin America and the Carribean, which are prominent regions in the EU's global relations, are discussed.
