Since 2010, the International Symposium on the History, Culture and Civilisation of the Chiefdoms of Western Anatolia
has been organised each year with a specific chiefdom. The period of the chiefdoms undoubtedly has a strong place in
the Turkification and Islamisation of Anatolia and the transfer of the ancient civilisation tree to the present. These
symposiums aim to reveal the information inventory of the political, social, economic, cultural, religious, artistic, etc.
elements of the Chiefdoms period and to transfer this rich heritage to future generations. Accordingly, the first
symposium was held in Beysehir between 11-13 September 2014 under the leadership and partnership of Necmettin
Erbakan University with the title of "International Central Anatolian and Mediterranean Chiefdoms History, Culture and
Civilisation Symposium -I Ashrafits". It was later turned into a book.
