The book titled Fragments of Memory: Social Reminder and Mentions about Forgetting, the reflections of memory on
everyday life are traced. In each chapter of the book, which is a collective field study, there are references to social
remembering and forgetting. This is because what is remembered and forgotten determines social identity and
common values. In this context, the common questions addressed by each author in the book are, What do we
remember and how do we remember? or What have we forgotten and how?. Thus, it opens the door to the
sociological analysis of our social life through memory.
