As in the industrial revolution, the world has entered a period of great change with the introduction of the internet into our lives. Digitalisation
is the process of transforming digitalised resources into new income, growth and operational results that will add value to the company with
an integrated information technology infrastructure. In 2020, digitalisation, which came to the fore more during the Covid-19 pandemic
experienced by the whole world, is used to develop new business models, combine information, digital technologies and company
resources with new combinations for unique customer experiences, create new products and services and increase the efficiency of
company resources. Organisations around the world have entered a digital transformation and this transformation requires adapting to new
conditions and expectations and being ready for changes. Even the most successful organisations face serious challenges in this
transformation. Therefore, scientific studies on digitalisation and digital transformation are becoming important for decision makers as well as
academics. This congress brings together studies in the field of social sciences to contribute scientifically to the digital transformation process.
In this context, studies on digitalisation and digital transformation in the fields of business, management, finance nad economics have been
accepted. ICDBME2021 was hosted online by Tarsus University Faculty of Applied Sciences between 8-9 October 2021. Karamanoglu
Mehmet Bey University, Mersin University, Necmettin Erbakan University and Osmaniye Korkut Ata University were among our
stakeholders in our congress, which was organised in cooperation with regional universities. The abstract book of the I. International Digital
Business, Management and Economics Congress (ICDBME2021) has been made available as open access.
