History is an archive that puts humanity´s knowledge, experiences and lessons learned back into the service of
humanity. Anyone who wants to shape their present and make measures and plans for their future must refer to it. Thus
history is an indispensable source for every human being, every society and every state. A nation, in order to continue its
existence and march into the future with firm steps, should impart a sense of history to its generations and introduce
them to the great historical figures from whom they can take an example. For tihs reason, Necmettin Erbakan University
has set itself the goal of accurately presenting the lives of our eminent and great sultans who have left their mark on
history to our people and especially to our youth with the help of scholars who are experts in their fields. The work
began with the publication of the rulers of the Great Seljukian State, which occupies a prominent position in World and
Islamic history, in a series. This is because the Great Seljukian State has achieved a special and great position in the
Turkish and Islamic history and World culture and civilization. By occupying such an important position, its rulers have
made great contributions. In this book, Sultan Alp Arslan, the mastermind of the Malazgirt victory, is mentioned.
