The book titled The Binding Art in the Age of the Seljukian´s and its Chiefdom's discusses the binding style of the
Seljukian and its Chiefdom's period in detail and the technical and ornamental features of the Chiefdom's period bindings
that are likely to have been produced in Kastamonu and its region are determined. The similarities and differences of
these bindings to the Seljukian Binding Syle were tried to be determined. In this study, it has been revealed that the
artistic styles of the Seljukian and its Chiefdoms period binders in Anatolia are similar to each other. Thus, the book is
based on the bindings of the works of Candarids, which where under the influence of the Seljukians and whose
sovereignty region was Kastamonu, and which were endowed to various madrasas and dervish lodges. Thus, it has
been revealed that the Candarids was a chiefdom that both produced bindings in the Seljukian style and tried to create a
unique style of binding.
