The book titled Applied Animal Breeding was written to be taught in the animal breeding course by remaining within the
context of the book Animal Breeding written by Prof. Dr. Orhan Düzgünes and his students. During the preparation of
the work, the comments and evaluations in the book have been used as they were, while remaining loyal to the
Düzgünes school and its book. Up until now, various researches written on animal breeding have been analysed and
their comments and evaluations have been put forward by making use of some of those examples in their researches.
Many issues within the field of animal breeding were analysed within the context of better understanding, genetics and
statistics, and breeding work was carried out, even on paper.
